City Vein Lines - Leipzig. II

Modern Citizens are seeking a high degree of mobility, while a proper housing is still the ideal shelter for everyone.

Each building contains its history and style, buildings become a layer of protecting skin to human beings, also form the city vein lines connecting the unsettling flesh in the ever changing Leipzig cityscapes.

This is an extended series with inspiration collected in Leipzig, artworks being created in Hong Kong.

“Every Building is a character,

with its history

tells its stories.”

Black or White

is it that simple?

Below are the images showing my draft on white paper with black lines,

it creates another context with the final artworks on black paper with white lines.

is it the day and night of the city?

or it is just a ways of seeing a city?

The Making of…

Material: Acrylic markers on 200 gsm black paper,German Magazine Paper Collage.\Format: Japanese Folded Book with hard cover, wrapped with Indian Block Print Paper ,gold ink on black paper. (2020, Hong Kong /14.8cmWx21cmH)

It is an interesting series with a comprehensive design with all the drafts with pencils, markers and turn into final pieces onto the black paper. The home-stay period during the pandemic, provides me the time to rethink the relationship of human being inside a city, and the changes on mobilities ( both for human and architecture ). In the meantime time, buildings play a more important role as a protecting skin to human being from the storms happen around.
