Ethnicity.Identity.Authenticity
Pattern, symbols, colours articulated different codes of identities.
Being inspired by all these codes from textile and embroideries, the artist is exploring the meaning of ethnicity, identity and authenticity of oneself through a set of mini codes painted on 30 small pieces to form a MOSAIC wall.
The individual piece itself represents one’s identity, with the various combinations of group works, they offer an imaginative space to explore one’s position in a community.
The series is submitted to join the exhibition Be**pArt in Rome, Italy. Details will be announced in 2021.
